Commercial Warehouse Lighting Installation Openings: Multiple Position Overview Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking Licensed Commercial Journeyman Electricians for an immediate-start commercial warehouse lighting installation project in Des Moines, Iowa. This project involves the installation and setup of electrical lighting systems throughout a 1-million-square-foot commercial warehouse . We are looking for experienced Journeyman Electricians with strong commercial electrical backgrounds, particularly in large-scale warehouses, distribution centers, and commercial lighting installations. This is a 4-month project paying $55.00/hour, working 5/10s (50 hours per week) with 10 hours of scheduled overtime. Responsibilities Install commercial warehouse lighting systems and fixtures Install and connect high-bay LED lighting and associated electrical components Install EMT conduit, fittings, supports, and electrical raceways Pull and terminate branch-circuit wiring for lighting systems Install lighting controls, switches, sensors, and associated devices Read and interpret electrical blueprints, lighting layouts, and specifications Perform lighting circuit connections, testing, and troubleshooting Work safely from scissor lifts and other approved elevated work platforms Coordinate installation activities with electrical crews and project supervision Maintain compliance with NEC, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements Licensing Requirements Applicants must hold: An active Iowa Journeyman Electrician License Minimum Qualifications Active Iowa Journeyman Electrician license 4+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience Hands-on experience installing commercial lighting systems Experience installing EMT conduit, pulling wire, and performing terminations Ability to read electrical blueprints and lighting layouts Comfortable working on lifts and elevated platforms Ability to work independently and maintain installation productivity Reliable transportation to the job site Ability to meet project safety and onboarding requirements Preferred Experience Large Commercial Warehouse Construction Distribution Centers and Fulfillment Facilities High-Bay LED Lighting Installation Commercial Lighting Controls and Sensors Large-Scale Lighting Retrofits or New Installations EMT Conduit Installation Scissor Lift and Aerial Lift Experience Compensation & Benefits $55.00/hour 5/10 Schedule – 50 Hours Per Week 10 Hours of Scheduled Overtime Per Week 4-Month Commercial Project Immediate Start Weekly Pay Great Basin Staffing offers eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental & Vision Telemedicine & Prescription Benefits Accident, Critical Illness & Disability Coverage Life Insurance 401(k) Options Benefits and eligibility vary by plan and assignment.
