Residential Journeyman Electrician - Up to $30/hr Location: Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 Company: NSC Staffing Pay: Up to $30 per hour (DOE) Job Type: Full-Time | Contract Assignment Start Date: October 15, 2026 Job Description NSC Staffing is urgently seeking 1 experienced Residential Journeyman Electrician for a residential construction project in Fort Myers Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with residential electrical installations, including new construction rough-ins, electrical wiring, panel installations, troubleshooting, and final trim-out. We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious professional who can work independently, interpret electrical blueprints, and deliver quality workmanship. This is a full-time, approximately three-month assignment with a competitive hourly rate and the potential for additional project opportunities. Key Responsibilities Perform residential electrical rough-ins, including installation of wiring, outlet boxes, switch boxes, and lighting circuits. Install and secure NM (Romex) cable, MC cable, and conduit where required. Install branch circuits for receptacles, lighting, appliances, HVAC systems, and dedicated electrical loads. Install, wire, and terminate residential electrical panels, breakers, grounding systems, and bonding connections. Complete electrical trim-out, including switches, outlets, GFCI/AFCI devices, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and smoke detectors. Read and interpret residential electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans. Troubleshoot electrical issues, test circuits, and verify proper system operation. Ensure all electrical installations comply with applicable NEC requirements, local building codes, and safety standards. Coordinate with other construction trades to maintain project schedules and productivity. Prepare electrical installations for rough-in and final inspections and complete necessary corrections. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience as a Residential Journeyman Electrician or equivalent hands-on residential electrical experience. Strong background in residential new construction, rough-in wiring, panel installation, and trim-out. Ability to read and interpret residential electrical drawings and blueprints. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and work independently with minimal supervision. Must have personal electrical hand tools and appropriate PPE. Reliable transportation to the Fort Myers Beach jobsite. Strong attendance, professionalism, and commitment to jobsite safety.
